As part of the HeVITOUR MAD<\/a><\/strong> project, we present three small-scale winegrowers who open the doors of their vineyards to offer you a unique experience of Madeira\u2019s heroic viticulture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These family-run estates keep alive traditional techniques that shape the island\u2019s steep slopes, preserve unique grape varieties, and foster a virtuous relationship with the land. By visiting these vineyards, you are helping to protect Madeira\u2019s heroic viticulture<\/a>, its original landscape, the strengthening of local communities, and the future of Madeira wine traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00e9u da Noiva Vineyard<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Seixal, north coast of Madeira<\/em>
The visit, led by Mariangie Castillo\u2019s family, offers a chance to discover the tradition of Madeira\u2019s heroic viticulture<\/a> set within the unique landscape of Seixal, shaped by the Laurissilva forest and the striking V\u00e9u da Noiva waterfall.
Walk along the stepped terraces (poios) beneath the vine-covered arbors, learn about traditional practices passed down through generations, enjoy the breathtaking views, and end the experience with a tasting of 10-year-old Sercial Madeira wine, paired with cheese from a local producer and a small special surprise at the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pinto Figueira Vineyard<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Estreito de C\u00e2mara de Lobos, south coast of Madeira\nDiscover the soul of Madeira wine with Lino Pinto, a producer who keeps alive the tradition of foot treading in the centuries-old press of this family estate, surrounded by terraced slopes (poios) and vine-covered arbors.\n\nHere, mixed farming complements the vineyard, promoting sustainability through ecological practices, no herbicides, and the use of natural fertiliser. The visit includes a guided walk along a path paved with typical Madeiran cobblestones, sea views, and a tasting of Madeira wine and dry wine, accompanied by local snacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
